PRESENTATION OF CREDENTIALS BY HER EXCELLENCY MRS. FRANCISCA ASHIETEY-ODUNTON

On 22nd August, 2024, Her Excellency Mrs. Francisca Ashietey-Odunton presented her letters of credence to the Acting President of The Republic of South Africa, His Excellency Shipokosa Paulus Matashile. She was accompanied by the Deputy Head of Mission, Mr. Japhet Ofosu-Appiah.

In Her Excellency’s speech, she extended very warm fraternal greetings from H.E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, President of The Republic, who had sent her as his envoy to further strengthen the strong bonds of friendship between Ghana and South Africa.

She recalled the strong bonds of friendship which exist between our two countries, dating back to the apartheid era when Ghana was at the forefront of the Africa Liberation Movement; and noted that the relationship had grown from strength to strength since independence; further being elevated to the bi-national level.

She pledged to assiduously further strengthen the strong bonds of friendship between Ghana and South Africa for the mutual benefit of our peoples.
